The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is expected to return to Bournemouth and Poole in 2027 as part of a worldwide charity motorcycling event supporting men’s health.
Rather than a conventional motorcycle rally, the event invites riders of classic, vintage, retro and custom motorcycles to dress in their smartest clothing before travelling together through the local area. Suits, waistcoats, bow ties and polished shoes are traditionally paired with carefully maintained motorcycles, creating an eye-catching procession with an important purpose behind it.
The international event raises funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health through its official charity partner, Movember. The Bournemouth-Poole ride is led by local volunteer hosts as part of the wider global campaign.
Official details for the 2027 Dorset ride have not yet been released. This page will be updated when registration opens and the organisers confirm the date.

Anyone wishing to take part must register through the official Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride website and select the Bournemouth-Poole event.
There is traditionally no standard spectator ticket, although the precise route and meeting locations are kept private and shared only with registered riders. Participants are encouraged to create a fundraising page and collect sponsorship in support of Movember’s men’s health work.
