Few Bournemouth restaurants bring us closer to the shoreline than WestBeach. Positioned beside Bournemouth Pier and only metres from the sand, it gives us a front-row view of the beach without requiring us to leave the comfort of our table.
The bright dining room uses broad windows to make the most of the location, while its outdoor terrace and deck become particularly appealing on warm afternoons. We can hear the activity of the promenade, look directly towards the sea and finish lunch with a walk along the beach.
Seafood is central to the experience, with WestBeach focusing on fresh fish and locally sourced shellfish in a relaxed beachfront setting. It is an especially strong choice when we want our meal to feel connected to the coast rather than simply accompanied by a distant glimpse of it.

Surrounded by water on three sides, this dog-friendly restaurant offers some of Bournemouth’s most extensive panoramic sea views. From its outdoor terrace, we can look back towards the beach and town or out across the coastline towards the Isle of Wight, Swanage and the Purbecks.
The menu is suited to relaxed daytime dining, with lunches, snacks, drinks and afternoon tea available. This is not the place for an intimate fine-dining experience; its appeal lies in the extraordinary position, spacious terrace and lively pier atmosphere.
