Bournemouth Christmas Market returns to The Square from 12 November to 31 December 2026, bringing Alpine-style wooden chalets, independent traders, Christmas gifts, festive street food and the popular Alpine Lodge Bar. Entry is free, with market stalls open daily and food traders serving until 10pm. Visitors can also explore the Festive Trail, enjoy live entertainment and visit SKATE Bournemouth in the nearby Lower Gardens.

Bournemouth Christmas Market returns to The Square from 12 November to 31 December 2026, with Alpine-style wooden chalets selling handmade gifts, decorations, crafts, seasonal food and drinks.
Entry is free, with no general admission charge. Visitors pay individual traders for food, drinks, gifts and other purchases, with prices varying between stalls.
The market opens at 11am daily. Gift stalls close at 8pm Monday to Saturday and 7pm on Sundays, while food stalls remain open until 10pm daily.
Visitors can also enjoy free live entertainment, including Christmas choirs, carol singers and performances on the stage beside the Alpine Lodge.
The market is cashless, with card and contactless payments accepted. The full list of 2026 traders has not yet been published.
The Alpine Lodge Bar returns to Bournemouth Christmas Market, with festive drinks, food and a two-storey Alpine-inspired venue in The Square.
The downstairs area offers a relaxed Christmas atmosphere, while the upstairs Après Bar features DJs, live entertainment and seasonal events.
Opening hours are 11am to 11pm Sunday to Thursday and 11am to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, according to the Lodge's dedicated website.
Walk-ins are welcome, although advance table bookings are recommended during busy evenings and weekends.
Children are welcome before 6pm, after which entry is restricted to over-18s. Under-18s are not permitted upstairs.
Alpine Lodge information and bookings
The Christmas Market forms part of the wider Christmas in Bournemouth celebrations, with the Festive Trail and SKATE Bournemouth running from 12 November 2026 until 3 January 2027.
The free Festive Trail winds through the Lower Gardens towards the seafront, featuring illuminated displays and family attractions, including Santa's Express, Santa's Workshop and a Christmas Tree Maze.
SKATE Bournemouth also returns with its outdoor ice rink in the Lower Gardens, alongside the Moguls Alpine Bar.
Additional attractions include festive Glow Golf, running from 12 November to 24 December 2026, and bookable Santa experiences.
The 18-hole Christmas-themed mini golf course can be enjoyed during the day, while Glow Golf evenings feature illuminated golf balls and festive lighting after dark.
While entry to the Christmas Market and main Festive Trail is free, ice skating and selected family attractions require paid tickets.
Visitors can enjoy scheduled artificial snowfall during Bournemouth's Christmas celebrations, with displays taking place beside the Alpine Lodge and the giant Christmas trees.

Friday to Sunday: 4pm, 6pm and 8pm

Bournemouth Christmas Market takes place across the pedestrianised town centre. The main market area in The Square has paved access, although it can become crowded during evenings and weekends.

Accessibility: The main Christmas Market takes place within the pedestrianised town centre, with paved access. Accessible public toilets are available nearby, although the market can become crowded during evenings and weekends.
Visiting with dogs: Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome around the market and in the downstairs area of the Alpine Lodge. Restrictions may apply to individual attractions.
Payments: Christmas in Bournemouth is a cashless event, with card and contactless payments accepted at the market and Alpine Lodge.
